Warped '09

So I went to Warped Tour with Liana today and let me just say it was so much fun. So many fun and random and awesome things happened. Let me sum it up because I need some sleep. Haha. Okay I'll sum up what happened with each band that we saw:

FOREVER THE SICKEST KIDS.

I accidentally bit Caleb Turman. I love this guy and I accidentally bite him. I was so embarrassed but now when I look back on it I think its hilarious. Let me take it back a step for a second. We watched FTSK play and we were a little farther back but we were still rocking out! They were so much fun. Later in the day we went to their signing which was kind of depressing because Kyle Burns (Liana's idol) was sick so he didn't come. Anyways, so first I pass Marc and he signs my poster and I say thanks and I move on to Kent and he does the same. Next I moved on to Austin and he signs my thing and there was a little pause so I'm just kind of staring at him and I say "thank you!" and he says "I like your eyes." as he is looking at me and i was like "oh umm thanks!!!" and he turns to Liana and he's like, "let me see your eyes? Oh yes they are pretty, too." I was like screaming inside because Austin just complimented me. Then I moved on to Jonathan and I got a quick picture with him. He was cool too.THEN, I moved on to Caleb. Caleb is my absolute favorite person in FTSK. He signed my poster and there were still people in front of me so I just kinda put my hand on the table and he took is sharpie and drew a line on my hand. I was like "Thanks, I appreciate that." I look away and look back and he has two gummy bears in his hand and he's holding up to my face for me to eat. In my head I was like "OH MY FREAKING GOSH CALEB IS TRYING TO HAND FEED MY FREAKING GUMMY BEARS!!!!!" So my all-so-eager self opened my mouth and tried not to slobber on him, so I used my teeth, and OF COURSE I FREAKING BITE HIM. He lifted up his hand and was like "Ow!" jokingly. I felt sooo bad its not even funny. I apologized my best and then said goodbye and left the tent. I was so excited that Caleb Turman hand fed me gummy bears but was super embarrassed that I bit him. Oh well!!!

RUNNER RUNNER

Runner Runner was probably my favorite band at warped. The first thing we did after figuring out what time all the bands played was go over to their tent and say hi to them. Most of them remembered us because it was the fourth time that we saw them. I casually said "what's up?" to Ryan and Nick said "Hey! What's up?" and gave me a big high five. Peter came over and gave me a hug and saw that I was wearing my cut Runner Runner shirt and pointed at it and said "I like what you've done with the place." It was funny. Later in the day we saw them play and we were like second rowish. We sang along at the top of our lungs and had a blast even though there were only like 3 other people singing along with us. Since Runner Runner knew us, their tent was our default place when we had nothing else to do, so we said hi to them later in the day about 5 other times. One of the times we were just trying to get a picture with Jon and he said we should all just take a group photo, so we rounded up all of Runner Runner and took a really cute group shot. It was really funny because right before we took the picture, Peter came up to me and was like "I was talking to you a minute ago. What were we talking about again? I forget" I didn't want to tell him that I hadn't been talking to him so I was just like "Oh yeah! I don't remember. haha" He was like whatever and we took the picture. Throughout the day when we were talking to them they were so cool and they played a GREAT set.

THE WHITE TIE AFFAIR

They had so much energy!!! Their set was amazing even though I didn't know their songs very well. I bought a CD from their merch tent and the drummer happened to be there so he signed it twice. haha. :) Their music is so good! If you don't know it, go buy it on itunes right now!

THE MAINE

Played really well. They were fun to see.

SING IT LOUD

Also played well. Nate the bassist is CRAZY!!!! He was like dancing around the stage, doing backflips and whatnot. He also crowd surfed shirtless. Jack from All Time Low was on the side watching and it was really cool to see him too.

THIS PROVIDENCE

We saw them playing when we walked by and we were like "Wait, is that this providence?" So we stayed and listed to all of their set. They had such a good lineup! They played my 2 favorite songs and then they played Liana's favorite, so we both got what we wanted. They are some good looking guys. haha.

Some other bands we saw were ALL TIME LOW, EVERY AVENUE, HIT THE LIGHTS, a little bit of VERSAEMERGE, and a little bit of 3OH!3.

what was probably the highlight of my day though was meeting the youtube stars: SMOSH.

So, Liana and I were walking towards the Runner Runner booth because we had some down time, and we see these girls taking a picture with these two guys. Liana and I thought they were from a band so we went up to them and for a split second I thought they looked really familiar when I turn to Liana and she realized at the same time as me that they were Anthony and Ian from SMOSH. We both freaked out and got out the camera and went up to them to say hi. We said "oh my gosh, hi!" and probably something like "we love you!" and then Anthony gave me a big hug and I gave one to Ian. We asked for a picture and I stepped back and took a really cute one of Liana and them. While I was taking the picture, I was seriously shaking. It was so funny. Then it was my turn and I walked over to them and they posed really funny. I was so happy! We thanked them immensely and skipped away happily and obsessed over the pictures we just took. We were both shaking and talking VERY loud. It was so sweet!!!!

It's nothing much, and I definately would not call myself a poet, but here you go!

Poetry falls down my face

In the form of tears.

Everything you said,

locked inside me all those years.

Obsessed with your sillhouette

As you stare at your own shadow.

You think I'm still in love with you,

But I just think you're mad.

I look to the ground,

And I see flowers mixed with empty shells.

Still don't hear a sound,

Just hear everything my secret tells.
